Timber Structures 3.0 – Biaxial load bearing flat slab made of timber

Abstract

Stützenkopf

The goal of the research project Timber Structures 3.0 is to develop a new slab system made only out of timber and glue. The slab system works as a flat slab carrying vertical loads biaxial and consists of timber slab elements glued together on site with a high performance butt-joint bonding technology. The slab is supported by columns. The main focus of the ETH is to develop a column head which can uptake the large forces coming from the slab.
